Stoner Dad, Double-shot, Lil’ Nip and I just got back from the Sanibel Island Writers Conference in, you guessed it, beautiful Sanibel Island, FL, and we had a blast. Where else can you rub elbows with some of the best writers around, and then return to your hotel room for a sunset walk on the beach? Also, did I mention the cocktail hour with free wine? (And beer, if that’s your thing.) This year’s keynote speaker was Augusten Burroughs (who I unfortunately didn’t get to chat addiction with), but the real highlights were readings by Karl Iagnemma, Margo Rabb, Keith Morris, Rob Wilder, and of course, Stoner Dad.
